Whether you are fully qualified or you have just completed part 1 of the EMDR course you can call and advertise yourself as an EMDR therapist. You do not have to seek additional supervision; however, many clinicians find this valuable. I can offer both individual or group supervision for you. I also offer individual and group supervision for clinicians who work with children and adolescents (nursery age and above).
While you can opt to have peer supervision, as an EMDR consultant in training I have a lot of expertise that you will undoubtedly find useful as you begin incorporating EMDR into your practice.
After becoming an EMDR therapist you do not have to become an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, however, this is a path we highly recommend. If provides a framework for further development, allows you to advance to the other levels of EMDR competency and allows you to be listed on the EMDR Association 'Find a Therapist' website feature. If you want to pursue this after your basic training I can assist you with the process.
INDIVIDUAL EMDR OR COUNSELLING SUPERVISION
INDEPENDENT THERAPISTS SELF-FUNDING (VIRTUAL OR FACE TO FACE)
Supervision can be individually or in groups and can occur via video conferencing, or in person in my clinic on the border of Wales, Shropshire, and Cheshire. Please me for further information and details of rates and availability for group consultant supervision.
Independent therapists who have a) either completed at least part 1 of an accredited generic EMDR training for EMDR Sn as a minimum or b) or are undertaking basic CBT or person-centred training as a minimum:
- £60.00 per 1 hour session (60 minutes duration)
- £90.00 per 1 1/2 hour session (90 minutes duration)
- £120.00 per 2 hour session (120 minutes duration)
INDIVIDUAL EMDR OR CBT SUPERVISION THERAPISTS EMPLOYED BY NHS SERVICES OR ORGANISATIONS WHERE PAYROLL & INVOICING IS REQUIRED (VIRTUAL OR FACE TO FACE)
For therapists who have completed at least part 1 of an accredited generic EMDR Training being supervised through NHS Trusts where there is a requirement for invoicing payroll, individual supervision / paired supervision is offered at the following rates:
- £100.00 per 1 hour session (60 minutes duration)
- £150.00 per 1 1/2 hour session (90 minutes duration)
- £200.00 per 2 hour session (120 minutes duration)
